Finca Lumbrarillo 2022 12.5%

One of the most unique wines in the Castuo Wines selection. We fell in love with this project in the west of Spain, Extremadura, where winemaker Fernando is producing natural wines from unusual grapes (many of which are actually Portuguese), crafting beautifully pure, delicious wines. This is mdae from the native red variety Morisca but vinified as a white wine, fermented with indigenous yeasts in clay amphora before being aged for 6 months in the same vessels and then bottled with minimal additions. Yellow in colour with pinkish notes, this has a nose of stone fruit, pear, and green apple. Broad and long on the palate with a refreshing touch of bitterness.
