Pateiro, El Patito Feo Godello 2021, 12.5%

From the Ribeiro appellation, north-west Spain, comes this gorgeous full-bodied white. Made from the Godello variety, the wine is aged for 3 months in French oak on its lees to add texture and richness. Almond and apple, with great concentration on the palate and a long finish, this is a top drawer white wine.

Pairing: this could go well with Asian food, particularly because the alcohol level is restrained enough to stop it clashing with spice.
